Remembering You Are Not An Island

Next time you are in a shared space, like a train, a street, a line, or a room, take one minute to imagine thin threads of light connecting everyone you can see, including you. Let yourself feel that each person has a whole inner world as complex as yours. Then choose one small action that honors that shared life, such as holding a door, offering genuine thanks, or sending a quiet blessing in your mind. You are training yourself to move as part of a larger whole, not as a separate unit.
