SELF-DISCOVERY

Listening For Your Own Signal

There is a version of life where you never really meet yourself.
You follow the next expectation.
The next trend.
The next thing that seems “smart.”

It can look successful from the outside and still feel strangely hollow on the inside.

Self-discovery is what happens when you turn toward your own inner signal and actually listen.
What do I really want, under the noise.
What kind of days feel like mine?
What dreams keep circling back, even when I ignore them.

Writers and mystics have asked “Who am I, really” for a long time.
Not as a fancy question, but as a way to live a life that actually fits.
Knowing yourself is not self-obsession.
It is the first step to a life that feels honest and fulfilling, instead of borrowed.

You are part of a bigger story, a larger field of lives and possibilities.
Self-discovery is how you find your particular role in it.

PRACTICE

Set a five minute timer. Ask yourself on paper, “If I did not have to impress anyone, what would I quietly want more of in my life?” Write without editing until the timer ends. Do not judge what comes out. Just notice which words make your body feel a little more awake. That is your inner signal talking.
